As an artist I create my work to show both a convincing and recognizable form with another facet that makes the viewer rethink some of their preconceived notions. The viewers are encouraged to take away a new moment, a new thought, to create a dialogue with my work. I want to portray the individual personality in each animal I create without it stemming directly from human personification. They are relatable in their body language and are able to create a unique narrative that encourages a sense of empathy within the viewer without being merely an emotional vessel.
